　以前、私がこのブログで書いた予想というか要望は、ほぼボーナストラックに関しては叶えられているようです。

All Those (Apple) Years Ago - （Revenge of the）United Minds

　ボーナストラックが少ない事に不満の声を上げている人も多いようですが、自分としてはここで書いた事がほぼ実現している事に満足しています。予想の範囲内を超えるものではなかったという事も意味しているわけですが、この手の再発企画でどれだけ肩透かしを食らったことか！リリースには細心の注意を払っているオリヴィアとダーニがしっかり今発表出来るものを収録してくれたわけですから、ここは素直に喜ぶべきです。

　個人的には、殆ど冗談のつもりで書いた「The Inner Light」の元バージョンと、「This Guitar」の再録バージョンまで入っている事に驚きました。 まさか、ダーニはこのブログを読んでいたんでしょうか。これ以上のレア音源は、何年後になるかはわかりませんが何れ発表されるであろう『George Harrison Anthology』まで楽しみに待つとしましょう。きっと出してくれるはず。

 

　しかし、『All Things Must Pass』の予想は大外れでしたね。まさか既存の再発盤のボーナストラックをそのまま放り込んでくるとは（『Living in the Material World』も同様）。そして当然ながら箱ではなく、どうやらデジパックのようです。音はかつてのウォール・オブ・サウンドをリマスターしたのか、それともジョージ自身がリマスター監修した“ニュー・センチュリー・エディション”準拠なのか。それを予想するだけで酒の肴になりそうです（飲めませんが）。

　ボーナストラックを望むべくもない『Electric Sound』は、トム・ローランズ（The Chemical Brothers）とダーニが書き下ろしたライナーがその代わりになりそうです。

　気になるのは、DVD収録内容の記述に「1974 North American Tour」の記述が一切見られ無い事。噂によると今回こそ北米ツアーの映像が明らかになるとされていただけに、かなり困惑気味です。はたして実際はどうなっているのでしょうか。そもそも、書いてある事を鵜呑みにするのならば、DVDは再収録ばかりでちょっと残念な内容になりそうなのが…。

 

　ひとまず、私にしては素早く行動し、既に注文済みです。早く聴きたい。

　「Ski-ing」「Party Seacombe」のサイケでクールな雰囲気から「What is Life」の華やかなサウンドにつながる部分が何度観ても格好良いです。
